Argument Doesn't Do Any Good

Rather than worrying about how an argument began or who is to blame for a problem that recently occurred, concentrate instead on finding a way to fix the issue. If you waste your time and energy trying to figure out how it happened, you could miss out on the perfect solution. You shouldn't be usually one to point fingers at others or to get so mired in this kind of confusion that there may be some very personal aspect to the situation that may left you feeling resentful and angry.
Surely that won't do you any good. Besides, the detour you have had to take may turn out to be a blessing in disguise.
It is better said: Rather than arguing over an issue, have a discussion. Because in an argument, people tend to prove each other wrong making their point worthy. Whereas in a discussion, whatever is best comes out!
